Practice Pages
Project Instruction Example
The page below is my draft attempt at a Spark page that outlines a term project. This tool could be a great way to share Web based instructions for projects and exercises, in particular considering the need for asynchronous learning.  One area that I found limiting was the inclusion of externally hosted video.
The video problem could be solved by creating Spark videos, however the tool is very limited in what it can do in relation to Premiere or even Rush.  It seems more tuned towards infographic or presentation type videos.  On the plus side, it is much easier to create a video in Spark then to do something similar in PowerPoint.  My test video is below.   Note that it includes my Spark social media post graphic that was based on a template.  It also includes a portion of a prior video created using Rush.  This project includes a requirement to create a video blog.  I can see Spark video being a great tool students could use to complete this work.
The image below was included in the Spark video above.  It is the template based social media post image.  I found that the tool was very easy to use.  It is similar to Canva in form and function, but seemed to be easier to use.  I may introduce both Canva and Spark as options for students in my Web design class for creating graphics for use in their Web site project.
Reflection
I found this workshop to be well presented.  It was a great introduction to three of the media types Spark can produce.  As mentioned above, I can see myself creating some Adobe Spark exercises for use in our Web design course as it is a great option for creating content.
