Reflection
This session provided a clear and easy to follow introduction to using Adobe InDesign to create templates for articles that students can use for writing projects. It provided a great overview of the program and how to create basic documents and spreads. Ways to duplicate layouts from print magazines using a suppled form to record measurements was also useful and interesting.
While I do not have students create documents of this type in my courses, I have colleagues that do and will be sharing what I have learned with them. I may find ways to use the tool to create easy to use templates for assignment and exercise documentation for the courses I lead.
